The ISOO Executive Board comprises dedicated leaders in ocular oncology who work collaboratively to advance the society's mission of promoting excellence in research, education, and clinical care worldwide. Guided by the ISOO bylaws, the Board fosters international collaboration, enhances equitable access to care, and drives innovation across the field.

Dr. Santosh G. Honavar

The President leads the Society by overseeing its activities, representing ISOO in international forums, and ensuring its objectives of advancing ocular oncology are met. The President chairs the Business Meeting and sets the Society's strategic direction in collaboration with the Board.

Dr. Santosh G. Honavar is a globally recognized leader in ocular oncology. After completing his fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, he established India's first Ocular Oncology service at LV Prasad Eye Institute and now leads Ocular Oncology and the National Retinoblastoma Foundation at the Centre for Sight in Hyderabad. Dr. Honavar has trained more than 80 fellows, published nearly 400 papers with over 15,500 citations, and serves on the ICD and AJCC committees. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Lifetime Achievement Award. As ISOO President, Dr. Honavar advances ocular oncology through innovative research, technology-driven training, cost-effective care, and global collaboration.

Professor Ido Didi Fabian

The Vice President supports the President in all duties, chairs meetings in the President's absence, and actively advances the Society's global initiatives and strategic collaborations.

Prof. Didi Fabian is an ocular oncologist at Sheba Medical Center and serves as Director of Sheba Global Ophthalmology, with academic appointments at Tel-Aviv University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His clinical work spans the full spectrum of ocular oncology, while his academic focus centers on global retinoblastoma and equitable access to care. An ISOO member since 2015, Prof. Fabian led the Young Ocular Oncologists (YOO) program, organized the ISOO Africa Congress (2023) — the first ISOO meeting held on the African continent — and initiated the ISOO Twinning Program. Beyond ISOO, he founded and leads the Global Retinoblastoma Study Group, serves as PI of Rb-NET, and co-founded the Asian Retinoblastoma Group. As Vice President, Prof. Fabian continues his mission of making expertise, education, and multidisciplinary care more accessible worldwide.

Dr. Swathi Kaliki

The Honorary Secretary manages the Society's correspondence, maintains meeting records, and ensures communication among ISOO's members. This role is central to organizational governance and member engagement.

Dr. Swathi Kaliki leads one of the largest ophthalmic oncology centers in India at the LV Prasad Eye Institute, a role she has held since 2013. Her work spans clinical care, research, mentorship, and administration. Her academic output includes more than 300 invited lectures, more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, and 35 oncology book chapters, alongside extensive editorial board service. Professional leadership includes co-chairing the AAO Basic and Clinical Science Course section on ophthalmic tumors and pathology, elected committee service with ARVO, and participation in the 9th edition AJCC Conjunctival Carcinoma Expert Panel. Dr. Kaliki founded "Whitathon," an annual awareness run supporting treatment for underprivileged children with retinoblastoma that has raised over $200,000. As Honorary Secretary, she is committed to strengthening society functioning, enhancing member engagement, and fostering meaningful collaborations across countries and regions.

Dr. Lauren A. Dalvin

The Treasurer oversees ISOO's financial health, manages society funds, prepares financial reports, and ensures fiscal responsibility to support the Society's operations and long-term initiatives.

Dr. Lauren A. Dalvin is an ocular oncologist and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic. Her clinical and research work encompasses uveal melanoma, retinoblastoma, and vitreoretinal lymphoma, with a focus on tumor biology and patient outcomes. Professional service includes committee roles with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, AAOOP, and ARVO, as well as editorial board service with IOVS, TVST, EJO, CJO, and EyeNet. During her first term as ISOO Treasurer, Dr. Dalvin supported the Society's reincorporation and modernization of its international banking structure. In her second term, she is focused on stabilizing ISOO's governance following reincorporation, establishing the ISOO Foundation to support tax-deductible donations, and strengthening ISOO's relationship with the Ocular Oncology and Pathology journal.

Dr. Hakan Demirci

The Program Secretary organizes ISOO's biennial Congress, working with the Executive Council to develop the scientific program and ensure the success of the Society's flagship educational event.

Dr. Hakan Demirci is the Richard N. and Marilyn K. Witham Professor and Director of Ocular Oncology at the Kellogg Eye Center, University of Michigan. He completed his ocular oncology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital and an oculoplastics, orbital, and facial cosmetic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. With over 250 PubMed-indexed publications and numerous national and international presentations, Dr. Demirci is a recognized leader in the field. He has trained multiple ASOPRS-sponsored oculoplastics and international ocular oncology fellows, and received the Senior Achievement Award from the AAO. As Program Secretary for ISOO Athens 2028, Dr. Demirci is developing a comprehensive congress program that addresses the challenges faced by ocular oncologists worldwide — integrating cutting-edge research, video-based surgical demonstrations, and digital platforms for broader knowledge-sharing, with particular attention to colleagues in low- and middle-income countries.
