Global Linking Program

Connecting expertise, improving eye‑cancer care worldwide

The Global Twinning Program pairs two ocular‑oncology centers—one with more resources, one with fewer—to share knowledge, strengthen local services, and launch joint research. If your team is eager to offer support or seek guidance, this is your invitation to get involved.

WHY JOIN

Mentor centers

  • Make a tangible impact on patient outcomes in underserved regions

  • Build new research collaborations and data sets

  • Give staff valuable teaching and leadership experience

Partner centers

  • Receive targeted clinical or research advice

  • Gain access to remote or on‑site training opportunities

  • Accelerate diagnostic and treatment capabilities

How it Works

    1. Complete the short interest form (see below).

    2. ISOO reviews submissions and introduces centers with compatible goals.

    3. The new partners hold a brief orientation call with a volunteer advisor.

    4. Together, the two centers set their own goals, timeline, and check‑in schedule.

    5. Every six months, ISOO checks in to gather feedback and share success stories.

  • • Projects you’ll tackle first (case discussions, research protocol, skills training)
    • Tools you’ll use to stay in touch (Zoom, WhatsApp, e‑mail, etc.)
    • How often you’ll meet—some pairs talk weekly, others only when needed

(No funding is built into the program; any resource sharing is arranged by the partners themselves.)

  • A small pool of experienced ISOO members—currently Matt Wilson, Swathi Kaliki, Ashwin Reddy, and Laurence Desjardins—are available for light‑touch advice. New volunteers are welcomed as the program grows.
