ISOO Fall Newsletter

Dear Colleagues and friends,It has been six months since we gathered together in Los Angeles for ISOO 2019. Thank you all for your wonderful contributions to the Congress and your participation during the sessions. I would like to extend my appreciation to the wonderful ISOO 2019 program committee, which included Dan Gombos, Prithvi Mruthyunjaya, Vicktoria Dai, Jonathan Kim and Jesse Berry. Their  hard work and commitment led to the delivery of a highly successful and world-class meeting.Special thanks to Dr. Jesse Berry, Conference President; as they say in America, “You nailed it”. This is not just my opinion but also the feedback received from the Survey Monkey post-conferenceevaluation. The feedback was very positive – people loved the venue, e-poster platform and talks – everyone just wanted more time. For the first time, delegates were able to vote for the best talk and best poster, this proved to be a very popular feature. The Audio-visual team and catering received special kudos but people wanted more coffee! Feedback from our biennial Conference is extremely useful for the planning of future conferences. With the proceeds of the 2017 meeting we were able to offer travelling scholarships for first time international attendees. We continue to have a surplus after the successful 2019 meeting and intend to continue these efforts in future Congresses. Professor Martine Jager will take over the chalice for the next ISOO Congress in Leiden, The Netherlands, 18-22 June 2021 so please enter this date into your calendars now and ensure that your membership status is up to date.Download the full newsletter
