Retinoblastoma is the most common childhood eye cancer, diagnosed in thousands of children worldwide each year, often before the age of three. This CCDI webinar will feature Dr. Liya Xu, who will present the development of an aqueous humor liquid biopsy platform for retinoblastoma, enabling safe and repeatable molecular analysis of tumor-derived cell-free DNA from the eye.
The presentation will highlight a CLIA-certified clinical test, LBSeq4Kids (Liquid Biopsy Sequencing for Kids), which shows high diagnostic sensitivity and specificity and can support treatment monitoring and recurrence detection. The session will explore how this approach advances precision oncology for tumors that are otherwise difficult to sample directly.
